Sridevi Biography :

Sridevi, also known as Sreedevi Ayyappan, was born on August 13, 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. She is an Indian actress who has starred in hundreds of Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films. Her parents were Ayyappan, a lawyer, and Rajeswari. Sridevi has a sister, Srilatha, and a brother named Satish. Her father died while she was filming "Lamhe", her mother while she was making "Judaai". Although it is the Hindu custom that the eldest son lights the funeral pyre, Sridevi lit the pyre for her mother's last rites.

Numerous sources claim that Sridevi had a relationship with actor Surya Maharjan from 1986 to 1987, and ended the relationship when she found out that he had not divorced his first wife, Yogita Bali. Many versions of this story say that the couple was secretly married and the marriage was later annulled. It is not clear how much of this story is true and how much is gossip. Sridevi married film producer Boney Kapoor on June 2, 1996. The couple has two daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi. Through her husband she is related to the large Surinder Kapoor film clan. Actor Anil Kapoor, her co-star in many films, is her brother-in-law.
